Our Story

How it began

 

It wasn’t the kind of beginning you see in a film. No dramatic glances or missed connections. We met on Tinder, towards the end of the pandemic. Both new to London, both a bit lonely, just looking for connection in an oddly quiet, unfamiliar city.
 
With the streets empty, our first dates were long walks, getting to know each other through conversation and curiosity. It felt like we had the whole city to ourselves.
 
We didn’t know it then, but we were starting something real. Two people from different worlds, Chris being British & Sandy being Mexican, finding each other in the stillness, building something together.

Building a life together

What began with quiet walks soon turned into years of shared adventure. We’ve wandered through the cities of Europe, explored the Greek islands, skied through the Alps, and travelled across Mexico. We’ve seen the salt flats of Bolivia, the peaks of Peru, the energy of New York, and the magic of Iceland. Each trip has become part of the story we’ve built together.

We’ve made a home with our very spoiled Boston Terrier, Alfie. Embracing each other’s worlds, Chris has become a pro at making chilaquiles, and Sandy now looks forward to Sunday roasts and even the occasional Arsenal match. Our lives have blended naturally, filled with small traditions and the comfort of home.

On Valentine’s Day 2025, Chris surprised Sandy with a trip to Iceland and proposed beneath the Northern Lights. Now, we’re looking forward to celebrating our wedding and continuing to grow together through every adventure.
